Georgia’s Mobile Dairy Classroom came to visit ULES. Our students learned about: how much milk cows produce in a day, how they are milked, different dairy products and the importance of eating three servings of dairy a day.
The cows name is Maggie and she's very moooody 🐮

Dear Parents,
We are excited to announce our upcoming Character Parade tomorrow!
Book Character Parade Guidelines-
Students may come to school dressed as a character from a book. Please bring the book to hold while walking in the parade. If the book is not available, the student can create a book cover that has the title and author.
Costume Guidelines-
Students are encouraged not to spend money on costumes, but be “imaginative” in their creativity.
Students are encouraged to wear school clothes under their costumes.
No weapons allowed. The costumes should be in compliance with the dress code.
No masks, scary makeup or blood.
Students cannot wear the inflatable suits that cover their face.
The emphasis is on “books” not “Halloween.”
Any student that is not in compliance with the guidelines will not be allowed to participate.
As part of our celebration, we want to share that there will be no candy distribution during the event. This event will be for students, faculty and staff only. We will livestream this event on social media.

Congratulations to Mrs. D'Amico for being selected as Highline's Teacher of the Month!

1st Nine Weeks Citizenship Award Recipients

Students who have been referral-free for the whole first 9 weeks earned a positive reward during connections last Friday, October 18th. Students were allowed to CHOOSE a special program to attend during their non-academic connection period. These special programs consisted of making pumpkin slime, getting pampered nails, getting grounded with Yoga, video gaming, Karaoke, Boo Zoo Fashions with Mrs. Keekee, Mini-cheer camp, Sphero bowling, Sip-n-paint, cartoon drawings, and gym games. A Special thanks to these individuals for their time and support of our students during these events: ULHS Art and Cheer volunteers, PTO volunteers, Flynt Rose Studio, Newman Farms, Upson 4H, and Game Castle.

We've wrapped up the first 9 weeks and PBIS is in full swing as our ULE students are learning to be Ready, Responsible, and Respectful! All homerooms were sorted into 6 different Genres (teams) and are earning stars daily by staying referral-free! Drama has led the way for most of the year, but ACTION is right on their tails! All genres have earned a 20-minute Social and a Small Candy Treat so far AND at 35 STARS they will get a RED CARPET dress-up day (just for their team)!
